For the past 4 weeks we've been doing Arts & Crafts with Eileen and Joey on Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 10 am. Each class is about 30 minutes of simple hands-on crafts for children ages 18 months and up (with a little help from their caregiver), involving mostly recycled materials! Every project your child makes they take home! It's been so much fun we're adding Tuesday mornings starting in October. So, come on down and play (the class is included with your admission!). 

Stomp Rocket Fun

This summer our campers made stomp rockets during Space week and they were so popular we have brought them back a few times. This weekend we spent a good part of both Saturday and Sunday making stomp rockets and launching them indoors. To make this fun project we use a lot of toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls for our creations. So, if you want to save some for us we'd love it. For that matter if you have any supplies that can be recycled, we are always expanding and restocking our art area. Please bring in any supplies you think we can use. We'd be delighted.

Science Night

Well, we just finished another fabulous science night. We had kids ranging in age from 3 to 10. Our activities included a fun scavenger hunt, the Van de Graaf (the loved making their hair stand up), making Plaster of Paris animal track castings, Flubber making and a few other fun tidbits. Before we knew it 9:00 pm came around and it was time to go home. This one was especially nice because we got to celebrate a birthday too. One of the moms brought some cupcakes from GiGi's in Browns Valley and they were so yummy! Wow! We hope you can join us for the next one!
