Summer Camp 2010
We are excited to be offering a Summer 2010 camp with Teachers Eileen & Joey and our other great Scientopia staff! We are offering 9 weeks of camp to cover the entire season. Ages 4-6 will enjoy the weekly topics as we delve into the details and have some fun exploring the world we live in and beyond. If your child is over age 6 but is interested in being a "mentor helper" please let us know. We are allowing a few older students in. Inquire if you are interested.
Sessions go from 9am-1pm or 9am-3pm. Registration begins April 17th for those booking full week sessions. Fill-in partial week registration begins May 10th (MWF or TU/TH). Subject to availability, first come first serve. Priority registration will go to those who book for the entire week.
Option 1: 9am to 1:00 pm cost is $30 per day and when booking the full week you get a $10 discount ($140 for the week).
Option 2: 9am to 3:00 pm cost is $45 per day, and when booking full week you get a $20 discount ($205 per week).

Please note: You must confirm your space with us and return your registration form with payment within 5 days of signing up in order to secure your space. If we do not receive a registration form with payment we cannot hold your space.

June 14—Space Cadets | Calling all astronauts…Please report to Mission Control. We need your help to make our astronaut suits, sample astronaut food, learn about NASA and uncover what it means to be a rocket scientist! |
June 21 - Little Diggers & Creepy Crawlers | Touch, smell, dig, taste and investigate in the garden! Learn about insects and creepy crawlers . We’re learning about cells, organisms, natural symmetry, patterns, and so much more. From celery science to Ants in the Pants, this is a week that kids will DIG!! |
June 28 - Safari Kids World Habitat Adventures! | Our adventures will take us from the deep blue sea to the Amazon rainforests. This habitat round-up will explore all kinds of environments and eco-systems. We’ll be looking for animals with spots, stripes, fur and scales! Our recycled habitat art will amaze and delight. |
July 5 - Time Travelers | What do Dinosaurs, Mummies and Romans all have in common? Journey with us back in time as we investigate pre-historic times, ancient civilizations and different cultures. Let’s dig up some fossils and make our own pyramids. |
July 12 - Mini Meteorologists and Natural Disasters | What is the weather cycle? What causes volcanoes, earthquakes, hurricanes and tornadoes? We’ll examine questions like why we need umbrellas, what the forecast means, why the ground shakes and what types of scientists study all these amazing things. In addition on Friday we will be taking an optional field trip to the Napa Valley Opera House to see Ziggy Marley in concert ($13 additional per child). |
July 19 - Science Detectives | We’ll use our magnifying glasses, make observations, record data and use simple tools to get to the bottom of a few mysteries. What do firecrackers, bubble wrap, volcanoes, fizzy drinks, and pizza have in common? Join us as we find out. Get ready to smash, crash, and launch! |
July 26 - Tiny Thespians | We’re telling tall tales, doing improvisation, movement and dance all in the name of fun. Get your star on the walk of fame when you master a bit of each! Local musicians and storytellers will grace us with their talent, humor and wisdom. On Friday we’ll have popcorn and screen our performances at our very own Scientopia theater! |
Aug 2 - Little Monets | We’ll uncover why life’s little imperfections make for PERFECT art. Teacher Deanna will do some projects that introduce techniques in painting, weaving, layering, pounding metal, printing and clay! Warning … Creative, messy and super FUN! |
Aug 9 - Best of Camp! | A dash of this, a pinch of that and before you know it we’ll be rolling back the clock and re-visiting some of the best that Summer 2010 had to offer! If this doesn’t prime your child for the exciting school year to come we don’t know what will!! |
